Our True Guardian: Part 3

By Imam W. Deen Mohammed

With the Name Allah (In the Name of God), the Gracious, the Compassionate.

As-Salaam-Alaikum
(Editor's note: Following are excerpts of Chief Imam Wallace Deen Muhammad's historic New World Patriotism Day speech delivered in Chicago's Grant Park on July 4th, 1978. Continued from last two weeks.)

All praise is due to Almighty God, the guardian evolver and sustainer of all the worlds. The blessings and peace be upon Muhammad, the Messenger of Allah to us all.
0 Allah, guide us, forgive us our faults, and grant us the blessing of faith. I bear witness there is no deity except Allah and I bear witness Muhammad is His Servant and His Messenger. Peace be upon him, his descendants, his companions, the righteous servants, all of them, and upon us in America and throughout the world.
For the first time in America we have a chance to live the life that God created for each and every one of us. That life is the human life, not the witch life.

Some of us want to be witches and some of us want to be angels. No. God created us to live the human life. There's a difference between the witch and the human life and there's a difference between the human and the angels. The human is uniquely himself.
Do you know that ever since God spoke to the first prophet that has been the mission, the direction that God has pointed us in? He has pointed us toward the human life that He created for every human being to live. Ignorance and false concepts in our lives take us away from the real human life God intended for us.

I would like to point to something I was given today. I didn't read the paper myself — I got up this morning, got busy and didn't read the paper. I didn't even listen to the news, but I was told about an experienced pilot who had been flying a DC10.
If you don't fly, I'll tell you — a DC10 is a big bird. In fact, it looks to me to be about as big as the biggest bird, the 747.
While he was flying this big airplane, we are told that a tragic thing happened. This pilot with 25 years of flying experience forgot to put on his eyeglasses. Without them he misread his instruments and could not pull out from the problem in time and was forced to crash-land in the water.

Fortunately, someone had a boat nearby and most of the passengers were saved; only three were lost.
I told the Brother who gave me this news, "Brother Imam, I'm going to show you how Allah helps me through other people. Brother Imam, this is a sign from Almighty God. I didn't ask you for any news, you gave me the news voluntarily."
"I don't know why I started talking about news," he said. "I had nothing on my mind to make me start talking about the news. I just, started talking."
It's a sign, I told him, that the leadership of the world has been taking us for a ride in the sky and has plenty experience. They have been doing it for a long time, but they forgot that their vision needs an aid. The human eyes just need eyeglasses sometimes. Even the best eyes can't see very small things. There is print, even the best eyes have to use the focusing glass to read.

This world's leadership has become so confident in their own abilities to carry the whole world on trips in the sky that they forget that they need the help of God. They forget they need a medium, something between their own vision and the thing they are trying to see, to help them to interpret what they're trying to see. They need God's guidance.

Allah is the perfect being. Allah is all righteous, truthful — no imperfections in Allah. Allah is Supreme and Perfect without any imperfections.
0 Allah. Make us of those who purify themselves and of those who repent, and guide us in your path. Amen.

Peace be to you
Your brother in service to Allah,
Wallace Deen Muhammad
