The IWDM Preservation Project Actually there are 500 to 1000 of Imam W. Deen Mohammed’s lectures between 1975 and 2008 that have never been published. Why? Because they’ve never been transcribed. The IWDM Preservation Project is dedicated to transcribing those lectures and making them available to the believers. They are currently only in audio or video form. Here are the reasons it is so important to put them into written form: In written form, (MS Word and text) they are much easier to research and study because they are fully searchable. So for example if you wanted to research the symbolic meaning of the word "water", you simply have to type it into the search box (under edit and find) to find all the instances where the Imam spoke on that subject. You can even combine all the files together to make one big file to search them all. In written form they are much easier to copy, share and preserve for future generations. Everything that the Imam has ever written, and every lecture that he has ever given from 1975 to 2008 can be put on one CD. Those of us that realize the importance of the teachings of Imam W. Deen Mohammed know that it is something that must be preserved researched and studied for decades (if not centuries) to come, (see the article, Structure, Guard And Publish The Knowledge. It is currently costing us .75 per minute to transcribe a lecture. So a one hour lecture cost $45 to transcribe. Of course, the only way that we can continue to do this is through your donations. So far we have transcribed 87 lectures. They are available now for download to believers at http://newafricaradio.com/articles/download.html (along with around 1300 other lectures), and at http://www.iwdmstudylibrary.com/. Allah has blessed our community with Imam W. Deen Mohammed. There has not been a more important man on this earth since Prophet Muhammad (pbuh). I can’t think of anything more important, or a more worthy cause than preserving this very precious knowledge. PLEASE CLICK HERE TO DONATE AND FIND OUT MORE ABOUT THIS PROJECT. |
